SIX PODIUMS FOR HUNSTANTON SKIERS
I arrived at Stone early Sunday morning to a dull and windy venue, it didn’t look promising for the days events to go ahead. But great organisation by Martin Robinson and his team from Stone club got the races up and running with the main race going first as this was the last selection race for the worlds in Australia.
A rough sea saw great performances from Hunstanton skiers, with seven podium finishes. Harvey Robinson took 1st in F1 and 1st overall in the main race with an extremely impressive ski behind the On The Pull twin rig. Jack Lynch battled hard after a fall to come in 3rd just behind the leaders in F2. Adam Murfit came in 7th and Matt Feilding 8th, well done all.
We are happy to announce that Hunstanton Ski Club skier Jack Lynch will be representing Great Britain as part of the British Water Ski Racing Team that will be taking part in the World Water Ski Racing Championships in Australia next month (September 2011). Jack will be skiing in the highest formula in the World Championships, in the Formula One class.
