CONGRATULATIONS
TO OUR SKIERS AND CREWS IN BELGIUM !!
I would like to congratulate all our members who took part in the world
championships in Belgium last week.
All did exceptionally well
in very testing conditions at 4 different venues. Once again the
outstanding performance of the week came from Kim Lumley. She won all
four rounds in very convincing style to once become Ladies F1 World
Champion for the second time.
The week previous she won the
Catalina race in Long Beach California for the 7th time, breaking the
woman's record by 5 minutes and coming third overall. Kim has been
training since February mainly on the canals in Belgium and the results
she has achieved over the last two weeks is down to her hard work and
dedication. She is a fantastic ambassador for the sport and we as a club
should be very proud of her achievements. The following skiers and crews
also competed last week.
